Aliança Metalúrgica S.A was founded on June 26, 1927 with over 900 items on their productions line specializing in the civil construction segment. Aliança Metalúrgica has approximately 800 employees and representatives in Brazil and abroad. Aliança is known as the largest manufacturer of locks, hardware, gas regulators, wheel assemblers and casters producing more than 2 million parts per month. In February 2001 the Aliança Metalúrgica was awarded ISO 9001 Certification for Quality Management System for gas regulators. Alliança is the market leader producing more than 600,000 units on a monthly basis. In 2006, Aliança earned R$ 130 million reais revenues and in 2007 they expect to bill R$ 145 million reais.
Not only are they concerned in maintaining the quality of their products and meeting the needs of the consumers, Aliança Metalúrgica S.A. also contributes to environment preservation. Aliança Metalúrgica maintains more than 85% of their installations in green areas of the factory’s 116 thousand m² only 17 thousand m² is constructed area and has adhered to the Projeto Tietê, treating industrial waste, before sending it into the Tiete River.
